DJ Eddie One – Morning Drive Host, Culture Connector, Soccer Dad

Eddie Mendoza, better known as DJ Eddie One, wakes up Los Angeles every morning from 6–10am on Mega 96.3 FM with his signature blend of high-energy storytelling, música urbana, and bilingual flavor. Born in Santa Ana, El Salvador and raised in L.A., Eddie’s journey from war refugee to one of the most respected voices in Latin radio is a true testament to hustle, heart, and cultural pride.

Eddie kicked off his career throwing day parties in high school, moved on to promoting clubs, and eventually became a street promoter for major record labels like Universal, Sony, Columbia, Capitol, and Interscope. What sets him apart? He doesn’t just host — he DJs live on-air, bringing an unmatched energy and authenticity to every show.

In 2004, he joined the prestigious Heavy Hitters DJ crew and has since shared stages with Latin music giants like Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, and Ozuna. He’s also the official DJ for LAFC, pumping up fans and blending culture with fútbol passion.

Off the mic, Eddie’s a full-time soccer dad to three competitive club players, balancing playlists with practice runs like a pro.

Whether it’s on-air, online, or in the community, DJ Eddie One keeps it real, relevant, and rooted in la cultura.
